Note: This fluid (SAF-XJ + FM booster) is specifically for M3/E46 models produced up to September 2001. It prevents grinding noises on the rear axle when cornering at low speeds. For further details, refer to BMW service info 33 01 02 (850). Designed for M Variable Lock differentials, this fluid contains the correct friction modifiers to prevent lock-up noises. FCP Euro advises against using this fluid in aftermarket fixed lock differentials.
