This complete engine oil filter kit includes the parts needed to replace the oil filter during an oil change, including the filter cartridge, oil filter housing seal, filter housing drain plug, and drain plug seal ring.

Your BMW’s oil filter should be replaced at every oil service. On cartridge-style oil filter systems, replacing the filter housing cap seal and related sealing hardware is important to help prevent leaks and ensure proper filtration performance.

A quality OE oil filter is designed to meet strict manufacturer standards for fitment, filtration, and durability. Low-quality filter media can break down over time, allowing contaminants to circulate through the engine oil and potentially damage internal components such as bearings, crankshafts, and other oil-lubricated parts.
