Product Information

This OE fuel injector is the latest updated version used in BMW’s turbocharged direct-injection engines, including N54, N63, and S63 platforms. Unlike port injection systems, direct injection injects fuel directly into the combustion chamber and operates at much higher pressures, requiring precision-built components to maintain performance and reliability.

BMW has revised this injector multiple times to resolve known reliability issues. It is essential to match the index number of each injector on your engine. The index number appears after the part number (e.g., 13537585261-11, where "11" is the index). Injectors with an index of 10 or lower are not compatible with those of index 11 or higher and must not be installed in the same cylinder bank. For best performance—especially on modified engines—it is strongly recommended to replace all six injectors together.

Installation Notes: Each injector includes a calibration value printed on the body. This must be recorded prior to installation and programmed during the calibration procedure. Do not remove the protective tip cap before installation—it maintains seal compression, and premature removal can cause the seal to expand, making installation impossible without special compression tools.

Tool Recommendation: For safe removal and installation, use the BMW N54/N63/S63 Injector Puller & Seal Installer Tool – Baum B130270KPLUS.
