This OE Bosch mass air flow (MAF) sensor provides precise airflow measurements to ensure accurate fuel delivery and engine control. Utilizing advanced hot film technology, it senses changes in airflow by monitoring the cooling effect on a heated element. This information is sent to the DME (engine management system), allowing it to fine-tune the air/fuel mixture for optimal performance, efficiency, and emissions.

Like all MAF sensors, this unit can degrade over time due to exposure to dirt, oil vapors, and age. Symptoms of failure may include poor throttle response, hesitation, rough idle, or a check engine light. A quick way to test for issues is by unplugging the sensor—if the engine runs better, replacement is likely necessary.
