This OE VDO mass air flow (MAF) sensor with 6-pin connector is a direct-fit replacement for BMW models requiring precise air metering. It uses a hot wire sensing element that measures how much electrical current is needed to maintain the temperature of the wire as air flows past it. This measurement is critical for the DME (engine computer) to accurately calculate fuel injection for maximum efficiency and performance.
