This aftermarket valve cover gasket replaces OE 11127834110 and is designed to properly seal the valve cover to the cylinder head, preventing oil leaks. When new, the gasket is soft and pliable, but over time exposure to engine heat causes it to harden and lose elasticity, leading to oil seepage or leaks.

Function: The valve cover gasket creates a seal between the valve cover and cylinder head, keeping engine oil and vapors contained. Most modern gaskets are made from rubber or elastomer compounds, sometimes reinforced for added durability. Older applications may use cork, which requires careful installation to avoid over-compression.

Failure Symptoms:
