A failed gasket is one of the most common causes of oil smells in BMWs, especially once the rubber deteriorates and hardens. Replacing the entire set restores proper sealing and prevents oil leaks.

Engine Valve Cover Gasket Set
The valve cover gasket forms a vital seal between the valve cover and the cylinder head, keeping oil and vapors contained. It must compress slightly to account for surface imperfections. Modern gaskets are usually rubber-based or reinforced, while older models may use cork, which is more sensitive to installation torque.

Failure Symptoms:
