This OE camshaft position sensor from VDO is the exact same part you’d receive from a BMW dealer—minus the BMW logo. It helps the ECU monitor the precise position of the camshaft for accurate ignition timing and optimal engine performance.

Camshaft position sensors are common failure points on higher-mileage BMWs. A failing sensor can lead to rough starts, stalling at low speeds, poor performance, or trigger a check engine light (CEL) with related codes.

Note: We recommend replacing the camshaft sensor o-ring (BMW part #: 12141748398) during installation to avoid future oil leaks.
