Product Information

This OE LUK dual mass flywheel (part number 4150453100) is designed as an OEM replacement for BMW models, serving as both a mounting point for the pressure plate and a critical energy-storing component. Supplied with bolts, it ensures proper installation and long-term reliability.

The dual mass flywheel consists of inner and outer masses separated by a spring-damping system. This design reduces drivetrain vibrations, improves driving comfort, and allows for smoother clutch engagement and disengagement. Over time, wear in the damping system can cause excessive vibrations, making replacement advisable during every clutch service.

Like all flywheels, it also plays two primary roles: storing rotational energy to maintain engine momentum between ignition cycles, and providing the friction surface required for clutch operation.

  • Clutch slippage or poor engagement: Caused by a worn or damaged flywheel surface reducing grip.
