BMW inline 6-cylinder engines are known for valve cover gasket leaks, often leading to oil dripping onto the exhaust manifold and creating a burning oil smell. Failing spark plug tube seals can cause oil to pool in the spark plug wells, potentially damaging ignition coils and causing misfires.

Installation Tip: For M54 engines, it's recommended to apply high-temperature black RTV sealant to the front and rear half-moon sections of the cylinder head and replace the (15) 11121437395 valve cover seal washers.
