This convenient kit is assembled to provide everything needed to replace your BMW's electric water pump and thermostat. Featuring OE components—including a Pierburg water pump, Wahler thermostat, VDO bolt kit, and Zerex G48 antifreeze—this kit ensures the highest quality, fit, and reliability. Proper operation of your thermostat and water pump is critical to maintaining your engine’s optimal temperature, performance, and longevity.
Note: The BMW cooling system uses a self-bleeding procedure. Connect a battery charger, switch the ignition on (do not start the engine), set the heater to maximum temperature, and the blower to the lowest setting. Press and hold the accelerator pedal fully for 10 seconds to begin the process—the electric water pump will activate and run the self-bleeding cycle for about 12 minutes. Once finished, check and top up the coolant reservoir if needed.
