The Eventuri Gloss Black Carbon Fiber Intake System is a direct-fit airflow and induction upgrade for the BMW E90, E92 and E93 M3 equipped with the high-revving S65 V8 engine.
Although the original BMW airbox is well engineered, Eventuri identified airflow restrictions downstream of the airbox that can limit breathing efficiency as engine speed increases. The factory inlet tube is replaced with a carefully sculpted carbon fiber intake tube designed to reduce pressure loss and provide a smoother path into the engine.
The system retains the original airbox configuration while improving the components that control airflow after the filter. This balanced approach preserves the drivability, throttle response and naturally aspirated character of the S65 while providing measurable improvements in airflow, acceleration and induction sound.
A dedicated carbon fiber inlet scoop increases the supply of ambient air entering the factory airbox. Combined with the high-flow cone filter and enlarged carbon intake tube, the system helps maintain lower intake-air temperatures and more consistent performance under sustained load.

Performance
The Eventuri E9X M3 intake system was developed as a complete and balanced airflow solution rather than a modification focused solely on peak dyno figures. By refining the downstream intake path and increasing the volume of ambient air supplied to the factory airbox, the system supports stronger and more consistent engine performance throughout the rev range.
Eventuri reports dyno gains of approximately 8–10 hp and 14–16 Nm (10–12 lb-ft) of torque, with road-based testing recording gains of up to 16 hp under certain conditions.
Testing has also demonstrated a reduction in intake-air temperatures compared with the standard system and an improvement of approximately 0.3 seconds during 100–200 km/h (62–124 mph) acceleration testing.
Final results may vary depending on vehicle condition, fuel quality, environmental conditions, engine calibration, exhaust configuration and other supporting modifications.
Induction Sound
The carbon fiber intake tube and high-flow filter allow more of the S65 V8's natural induction character to be heard during acceleration. Throttle openings produce a sharper and more immediate intake note that becomes increasingly pronounced as engine speed rises.
The system maintains refined operation during normal driving while providing a more aggressive motorsport-inspired sound under load and throughout the upper rev range.
Final induction volume will vary depending on whether the vehicle uses the factory intake plenum, Eventuri carbon fiber plenum or other compatible engine modifications.
Construction and Air Management
The sculpted carbon fiber intake tube replaces the restrictive factory inlet section downstream of the airbox. Its carefully developed shape provides a smoother transition into the engine while helping maintain airflow velocity and reduce turbulence.
The carbon fiber inlet scoop directs a greater volume of ambient air toward the airbox opening. A laser-cut stainless steel debris guard protects the inlet path while allowing unrestricted airflow into the system.
The supplied CNC-machined breather adapter, silicone coupler and OEM-specification clamps provide secure integration with the corresponding factory connections and mounting points.
Installation
The Eventuri intake system installs using the corresponding factory airbox, mounting locations and engine connections. The original inlet tube is removed and replaced with the supplied carbon fiber tube, high-flow filter, inlet scoop, breather adapter, silicone coupler and installation hardware.
Professional installation is recommended to ensure correct filter placement, secure coupler connections, proper breather routing and adequate clearance around surrounding engine components.
All reusable seals, hoses, mounting points and airbox components should be inspected during installation. Worn or damaged components should be replaced as required before the new intake system is installed.
Replacement Filter
This intake system uses one Eventuri Type E replacement air filter. Periodic inspection and servicing are recommended to maintain proper airflow and filtration performance.
