Product Information
The engine air filter is a critical component of the intake system, allowing clean, fresh air to enter the combustion chamber while preventing dust, dirt, and other contaminants from reaching the engine. Located within the air intake box, it captures particles as air flows through, ensuring optimal engine performance, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions.
Common failure symptoms:
Clogging: Accumulated debris can restrict airflow, leading to reduced engine performance, increased fuel consumption, and higher emissions.
Moisture contamination: Exposure to water can saturate the filter, limiting airflow and potentially causing long-term engine issues.
Age-related wear: Over time, filter materials degrade and lose efficiency, increasing the risk of tearing or reduced filtration capability.
Decreased fuel efficiency: Restricted airflow forces the engine to compensate with more fuel, lowering efficiency and performance.
Misfires or hesitation: Insufficient airflow can result in incomplete combustion, causing hesitation or weak power delivery under load.
It is recommended to inspect and replace the engine air filter every 24,000 – 48,000 km (15,000 – 30,000 miles), depending on driving conditions.
