This Genuine BMW valve cover assembly is designed to restore proper sealing and crankcase ventilation. It includes the valve cover, gasket set, mounting bolts, and the integrated PCV oil separator, providing everything required for a correct installation.
If your BMW’s valve cover is cracked or damaged it must be replaced. While used valve covers may sometimes be available for less, their condition is never guaranteed. Using a new Genuine BMW valve cover ensures proper fitment, sealing, and long-term reliability. This design also integrates the PCV oil separator, which cannot be replaced separately.
Note: Mounting locations for brackets and accessory components are not threaded from the factory. This is normal. All hardware that threads into this valve cover is self-tapping and will create threads during installation.

Engine Valve Cover
The valve cover, also known as the rocker cover, sits on top of the cylinder head and protects the valvetrain while sealing engine oil inside the engine. In many modern BMW engines, the valve cover also houses components of the PCV system to properly regulate crankcase pressure and ventilation.
