Product Information

This OE Bosch mass air flow (MAF) sensor uses advanced hot film technology to precisely measure the volume of air entering your BMW’s engine. The sensor detects changes in airflow based on how much current is needed to keep a heated element at a constant temperature. This data is relayed to the DME (engine control unit) to ensure optimal fuel injection and ignition timing.

Over time, contamination from dirt, oil, or environmental factors can degrade the sensor’s accuracy. A failing MAF sensor can result in engine hesitation, poor fuel economy, or a check engine light. If unplugging the sensor improves engine performance, it's a strong indicator that replacement is necessary.

Failure Symptoms:
