Product Information

This OE Bosch mass air flow (MAF) sensor is designed to deliver accurate airflow measurements to your engine control unit (ECU), ensuring the proper air/fuel ratio under all conditions. It uses hot film technology, which measures airflow based on the cooling effect it has on a heated element. This data allows the ECU to precisely control fuel injection and ignition timing for maximum performance and efficiency.

Over time, the sensor can degrade due to dirt, oil vapors, or electrical wear, resulting in performance issues such as rough idle, poor fuel economy, or engine hesitation. If disconnecting the MAF sensor leads to temporary improvement, it's often a sign that the unit should be replaced.

Mass Air Flow Sensor
Bosch’s hot film MAF sensors are self-cleaning and engineered for OE reliability. They are an essential part of the engine management system, directly affecting emissions, throttle response, and drivability.

Failure Symptoms:

  • Check engine light: Frequently triggered by airflow-related fault codes (P0100–P0104).
  • Rough idle or stalling: Due to unstable or incorrect airflow readings.
  • Fuel trim imbalance: Engine may run too rich at idle or lean under load.
