HELLA OE engine cooling fan temperature switch designed to control the auxiliary electric cooling fan on compatible BMW applications. Mounted in the radiator, the switch monitors coolant temperature and activates the auxiliary fan as needed to help regulate engine temperature and maintain proper cooling system performance.
This switch operates within a 91°C to 99°C temperature range. A faulty switch may prevent the auxiliary fan from engaging when required, potentially contributing to elevated coolant temperatures or overheating. A failed switch can also cause the fan to run continuously if the circuit remains closed.
Replacement is recommended when diagnosing temperature-related auxiliary fan faults or when servicing the radiator on an aging cooling system.
