This OE-quality valve cover gasket set is designed for cylinders 5–8 and includes the spark plug tube seal. A critical maintenance item, it prevents oil leaks between the valve cover and cylinder head. BMW recommends replacing all 11 valve cover sealing washers (part number 11121437395) when installing a new gasket for optimal sealing.

The gasket seals the top of the cylinder head, preventing oil and vapor escape. It must be slightly compressible to fill in surface irregularities.
