This is a Repair & Rebuild Service for the BMW S85 Throttle Actuator — a vital component in the drive-by-wire system of the E60 M5 and E63/E64 M6. Common failure symptoms include throttle hesitation, limp mode, inconsistent power delivery, and drivetrain errors.
You must ship your original actuator(s) to us for testing and repair. The service includes a complete teardown, inspection, motor gear replacement (if needed), internal cleaning, reassembly, and final functional testing on our in-house bench rig.
The S85 engine uses two throttle actuators (bank 1 and bank 2). We recommend servicing both together for consistent performance and reliability. To do so, change the quantity to 2 before adding to cart.
The repair process takes approximately 4 business days from the time we receive your unit(s). You can track the progress of your service at any time by visiting the order details page in your account.
