Specifically designed for the cylinder head to thermostat hose on N5X and N2X engines, this revised aluminum version of the "Mickey Mouse flange" eliminates the common failure issues seen with OE plastic designs. It includes a sealing o-ring and hose clamp for a complete installation.
The OE plastic flange is notoriously prone to cracking either during normal operation or when performing regular maintenance. Previously, a failed flange required replacing the entire hose assembly, but this aluminum alternative allows a simple, durable repair.
Installing this upgraded flange is recommended as preventative maintenance regardless of mileage, as plastic failures are unpredictable. It provides a permanent solution and peace of mind.
