GEMS-E6X-CIC-RKT
This package provides a comprehensive solution for upgrading BMW E60/E61 5 Series and E63/E64 6 Series models, including the M5 and M6, from the earlier CCC iDrive system to the later BMW CIC infotainment system.
The kit combines the CIC Professional head unit, 8.8-inch CIC CID display, CIC display cable, factory-style USB connection, required electrical connector housings, CIC iDrive controller and the applicable vehicle-specific climate control and controller mounting components required for a clean factory-style conversion.
CIC provides substantially faster system operation than CCC, improved graphics, higher-resolution navigation, hard-drive-based map storage, USB functionality and the later BMW iDrive interface while retaining integration with compatible factory audio, steering wheel controls, PDC and other vehicle systems after the retrofit is correctly coded.
The CIC Professional head unit is supplied from a compatible Genuine BMW application and prepared for use within the E6X platform. The exact compatible revision supplied may vary according to availability while maintaining the required CIC Professional configuration.
The 8.8-inch CIC CID display replaces the original CCC display and uses the CIC digital LVDS video interface. The retrofit also includes the correct CIC display connecting lead, factory-style USB socket and cable, CID power / K-CAN connector housing and CIC controller connector housing.
The dashboard and center console configuration differs between E60/E61 and E63/E64 applications. Vehicle-specific components are therefore supplied according to the selected configuration rather than using one universal interior package across every E6X model.
This comprehensive retrofit kit has been developed and assembled by GEMS autocraft around the components and installation methods used in our own in-house E6X CIC conversions.
Rather than assembling a conversion from individually sourced head units, displays, cables, connector housings, controllers, mounting components and interior pieces, the required components are brought together as one coordinated package configured for the applicable vehicle.
Developed and workshop-proven through our own in-house retrofit installations, this package provides a clean and repeatable CCC-to-CIC conversion while retaining the original BMW mounting architecture, MOST network and vehicle integration.
This retrofit kit is configured according to the selected BMW E6X chassis and temperature display configuration. Select the appropriate vehicle configuration when ordering so the correct chassis-specific components are supplied with the kit.

E60/E61 5 Series: Includes the applicable CIC single-slot center stack covering, CIC iDrive controller mount frame, controller support and the selected Fahrenheit or Celsius climate control panel.
E63/E64 6 Series: Includes the applicable CIC iDrive controller support and the selected Fahrenheit or Celsius climate control panel. The E63/E64 CIC single-slot center stack facing / trim panel is not included with the M6 / 6 Series configuration and must be sourced separately according to the vehicle's interior configuration.
Additional differences may exist depending on production date, original CCC / M-ASK equipment, existing telephone or multimedia equipment and interior configuration. Please provide the vehicle VIN when ordering so the final configuration can be verified.
A CCC-to-CIC retrofit requires vehicle-specific programming and coding after installation. The CIC must be correctly configured for the vehicle and the applicable navigation, voice, MOST audio and vehicle integration functions must be enabled according to the final equipment configuration.
Hardware supplied with this kit is selected for the conversion, but final coding requirements depend on the vehicle and installed equipment. GEMS autocraft can perform the complete installation and coding in-house or provide remote coding support for customer-installed retrofit kits.
