Battery Registration Required: On BMW vehicles equipped with battery energy management, the battery must be registered to the vehicle after installation using the correct battery capacity and AGM type. Proper registration allows the charging system to adapt to the new battery, helping prevent overcharging, undercharging, and premature battery wear. Registration can be completed using ISTA, Bimmerlink, or other advanced diagnostic tools.
