This convenient kit is designed to replace your BMW's electric water pump and thermostat with high-quality OE components for a complete, reliable installation. The kit features a genuine Pierburg electric water pump, Wahler thermostat, and all the necessary hardware and coolant to restore optimal cooling system performance. Proper operation of the water pump and thermostat is critical for maintaining correct engine temperature, efficiency, and longevity.
Note: The cooling system features a self-bleeding procedure. Connect a battery charger, switch the ignition on (do not start the engine), set the heater to maximum temperature, and set the blower to the lowest speed. Press and hold the accelerator pedal fully for 10 seconds—the electric water pump will start the bleeding process automatically, which lasts approximately 12 minutes. After the cycle, top up the coolant reservoir if needed.
