The Eventuri E9X M3 Gloss Carbon Fiber Intake Package is a complete engine-bay and induction upgrade for the BMW E90, E92 and E93 M3 equipped with the S65 V8 engine.
This package combines the Eventuri carbon fiber intake plenum, carbon intake system, carbon airbox lid and carbon intake duct set to replace the main visible factory plastic intake components with premium gloss carbon fiber.
The carbon fiber plenum replaces the original plastic intake plenum while retaining the factory internal volume and intake trumpet geometry. This preserves the S65 engine's smooth power delivery and throttle response while creating a much more pronounced induction sound throughout the rev range.
The carbon intake system refines the airflow path downstream of the factory airbox, using a sculpted carbon fiber intake tube, high-flow filter and carbon inlet scoop to improve airflow efficiency, throttle response and acceleration.
The carbon airbox lid and duct set complete the package by replacing the factory plastic upper airbox cover and front intake ducting with matching gloss carbon fiber components. Together, the system provides a cohesive OEM-plus appearance while maintaining the airflow strategy originally intended by BMW.
The Eventuri intake system was developed to improve airflow efficiency while retaining the original BMW airbox architecture. By reducing restriction downstream of the airbox and increasing the supply of ambient air, the system supports sharper throttle response and stronger acceleration without sacrificing drivability.
Eventuri reports dyno gains of approximately 8–10 hp and 14–16 Nm (10–12 lb-ft) of torque from the intake system, with road-based testing recording gains of up to 16 hp under certain conditions. Testing has also shown reduced intake-air temperatures compared with the factory configuration and an improvement of approximately 0.3 seconds during 100–200 km/h (62–124 mph) acceleration testing.
The carbon fiber plenum and airbox lid allow more of the S65 V8's natural induction sound to be heard inside and outside the vehicle. Throttle openings produce a sharper and more immediate intake note, building into a pronounced motorsport-inspired sound as engine speed increases.
Final performance and sound results may vary depending on vehicle condition, fuel quality, environmental conditions, engine calibration, exhaust configuration and other supporting modifications.
The included plenum is manufactured from premium prepreg carbon fiber and incorporates eight internal carbon fiber intake trumpets supported by CNC-machined aluminum mounting flanges. Integrated CNC-machined sensor and breather connections provide compatibility with the corresponding factory components.
The intake system includes a gloss carbon fiber intake tube, carbon fiber inlet scoop, high-flow cone filter, CNC-machined breather adapter, laser-cut stainless steel debris guard, silicone coupler and OEM-specification hose clamps.
The airbox lid replaces the factory plastic upper cover while retaining the original airbox base. The duct set replaces the factory plastic intake ducting and includes an upgraded EPDM joining coupler with Eventuri's raised “V” logo.
All components are designed to use the corresponding factory mounting locations and connections for a clean, integrated installation.
The package installs using the corresponding factory mounting locations, airbox components and engine connections. The original intake plenum, inlet tube, airbox lid and intake ducts are removed and replaced with the included Eventuri carbon fiber components.
Professional installation is recommended to ensure correct plenum positioning, secure sealing at all eight individual throttle bodies, correct filter placement, proper breather routing and adequate clearance around surrounding engine-bay components.
All reusable seals, couplers, hoses, mounting points and airbox components should be inspected during installation. Worn or damaged components should be replaced as required before the new components are installed.
The included intake system uses one Eventuri Type E replacement air filter. Periodic inspection and servicing are recommended to maintain proper airflow and filtration performance.
