Product Information

332 × 30 mm (13.07 × 1.18 in), Akebono replacement front brake rotor.

This rotor fits the front left or front right side of the vehicle and is sold individually. Order a quantity of two when replacing both front brake rotors.

Brake rotors are designed to wear gradually during normal braking. Worn or uneven rotors may cause vibration, noise and reduced braking performance. Once the minimum allowable thickness is reached, the rotors should be replaced to maintain proper braking operation and prevent damage to other braking components.

Brake rotors should always be replaced in matching pairs on the same axle.

Disc Brake Rotor

Commonly referred to as a brake disc or brake rotor, this component provides the friction surface used by the brake pads to slow and stop the vehicle.

When the brake pedal is pressed, hydraulic pressure is transferred through the braking system to the brake calipers. The caliper pistons press the brake pads against both sides of the rotor, creating the friction required to reduce vehicle speed.

Brake rotors are regular wear items and should be inspected for thickness, scoring, glazing, heat damage and excessive runout. Replacing the brake pads and rotors together is recommended when both components are worn.
