Genuine GEMS roof moulding clip for BMW E60 5 Series models, developed as a replacement for discontinued Genuine BMW part number 51137064097. This small retaining clip secures the exterior roof moulding in its original mounting position along the roof channel.
With the original BMW clip no longer available, GEMS developed a direct replacement based on the dimensions and mounting geometry of the original component. Each clip is manufactured in-house in Canada using additive manufacturing to reproduce the original fit and retention points required by the factory roof moulding.
Roof moulding clips can become brittle with age and may crack or break when the moulding is removed for bodywork, refinishing, roof repairs or general service. Replacing damaged or missing clips helps the moulding sit securely and correctly against the vehicle rather than reusing weakened original hardware.
Designed as a direct replacement, no modification to the roof moulding or original mounting location is required.
