This support cup secures the bump stop in place at the top of the rear shock absorber. The bump stop helps protect the suspension from harsh bottoming-out impacts, and the support cup keeps it properly positioned on the shock assembly.
When replacing rear shock absorbers, it is recommended to replace the support cups at the same time to ensure the bump stops remain secure and correctly located.
Two support cups are required per vehicle.
