This package provides a complete solution for converting an S85-powered BMW from its factory 7-Speed SMG III transmission to a traditional 6-Speed manual transmission. It includes the required mechanical and hydraulic components, from the clutch system and gearbox hardware to lines, seals, supporting fasteners and the illuminated F1X shifter knob retrofit, allowing the conversion to be completed thoroughly and reliably on an S85-powered BMW M5 or M6.
Important Note:
The 6-speed gearbox assembly is not included in this kit.

The manual conversion requires the appropriate transmission wiring, engine wiring configuration and ECU programming to properly integrate the GS6-53BZ six-speed manual transmission with the S85 vehicle electronics.

When using the E9X M3 GS6-53BZ-TJGC transmission, the original external transmission oil pump and cooler circuit are not retained in the E6X manual conversion. The unused transmission ports can be properly closed using the dedicated Genuine GEMS plug kit:
